In the Back Office, you have full control over various data elements that impact your POS system. Let's take a look at these elements and their scopes:

Some data elements are set globally across POS, which means all venues get the same data for these. The others are set per venue.

Data Element Scope Description
Sites Global These are venue definitions that apply across all your venues. They help you define the basic information for each location.
Message Presets Global Pre-defined text messages when using Message on POS
Report Groups Global Groups used to group tender medias together
Void Reasons Global Void reasons when voiding an item
Payment Reasons Global When a tender needs a reason, what reasons are visible
Receipt Headers Site Text to display on all receipts at the top
Tables Site Table numbers for a site
Print Servers Site Defines what devices host printers
Printers Site Printers available per site, and which print server is used to print to that printer
Order Devices Site These are what are used to do dispense tickets. An order device will have one printer at a minimum but can specify a backup in the event a printer is in fault
Menu Category Routing Site Menu Item Categories need linking to an order device to dispense. This will allow you to tie the menu categories to the right order device
Tender Medias Site Available payment methods when paying off
Card Schemes Site When a card payment is completed using EFT it allows you to map a card scheme to a tender. Only Used if EFT is enabled
Pin Entry Devices Site When using EFT you need to add the PEDs available per site to POS so it can provide a list to the terminals Only Used if EFT is enabled
Operators Site Operators that are in each site. These will be the full name of staff with a level
Layout Definitions Site Define how POS looks with regards to fast bar layout and the category button panel
Workstations Site All terminals in the site and their configuration
